Drinking Chocolate with Peppermint Cream

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream, divided
  • 1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon Agave In The Raw, divided
  • 1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 4 oz dark chocolate, chopped

Directions

  1. In a medium bowl combine ½ cup cream, 1 teaspoon agave, and peppermint extract. Beat with a hand mixer on high speed until stiffly whipped.
  2. In a small saucepan combine milk, remaining 1 cup cream, chocolate, and remaining 1 tablespoon agave. Heat over medium heat, stirring frequently, until the chocolate is melted and the mixture is smooth.
  3. Divide drinking chocolate between 4 small mugs. Top each with a spoonful of whipped cream.
